My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Karen. God comfort us and give us the courage to bear our pain. He does so mainly through his Word, the Bible, and through the gift of prayer. Paul tells us that God lovingly gives us His Word, so that through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. While no words can erase the pain of your loss at this time, we can look forward to the promise at Isaiah 33:24 – “no resident will say, I am sick”. God’s enemy death, will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8). When these promises are fulfilled, we will enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us…forever on earth with no pain. (Psalms 37:11, 29)
I read this on a card and thought of you Karen and Carol.
God knew that you were suffering, that the hills were hard to climb. So He gently closed your eyelids and whispered, ‘Peace be thine.’ In tears I watched you sinking; I watched you fade away. My heart was nearly broken; you fought so hard to stay. It broke my heart to see you go, but you did not go alone. For a part of Carol went with you, the day God called you home.
