Obituary of Arlyn L. Krohn

Arlyn L. Krohn, 77 of Jerome passed away on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at St. Luke's Magic Valley. Arlyn was born on November 6, 1940 in Twin Falls, Idaho and was raised in the Eden area and then went to Concordia College in Portland, Oregon. While at Concordia he met Carolyn and fell in love and married on June 24, 1960 in Mt. Vernon, Washington. They moved back to Idaho and Arlyn worked at Amalgamated Sugar. Arlyn went on to run his own custom swathing and stacking business in Eden. During the winter months he worked for the Ferry Morris Seed Company. After their children had all left home he went to work for Glanbia and then on to Twin Falls to work at Magic Valley Storage. After completely retiring they moved to Wendell and spent the last few months living with their daughter Jennifer. He was a member of St. Paul's church in Jerome and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eden. Arlyn is survived by his wife Carolyn Krohn of Jerome; daughter Jennifer Krohn of Jerome; son Jeffrey Krohn of Jerome; sister Althea (Harry) Petersen of Twin Falls; 5 grandchildren Cory Mandis, Brittany Helmer, Andrea Fox, Brina Krohn and Alaura Morrill. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren Ebidia, Bently, Ashton, Janessa, Wyatt, Winston, Brandon and Mia. Arlyn is preceded in death by his parents Gerhard and Olga Krohn; 3 brothers, Werner, Clarence and Enos; and two sisters, Elfrieda and Gertrude. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Eden. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
