What a wonderful video and depiction of John and his family. It is obvious that his family was highly treasured by him. I also know that John loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ more than anything, and lived much of his life living out his faith on the ground, in men's ministry, and in relationships. Though John suffered with dementia in the end, I will never forget that the second time that I saw John, he walked up to me like I was a life long friend and called me by name, asked about my family by name, and every time I saw him, whether it was at Valley Life, or TFRC he always made a point of greeting me. He truly took an interest in other people and it was impossible not to consider John as a friend. My prayers are with his family as it is bitter-sweet to know that John is no longer with us here, but he is alive and well with Jesus now! May God's grace, peace and comfort be with the entire McCandless family that he treasured so much.
