Michael Louis Gabica passed away February 11, 2018, surrounded by family and close friends. Mike was born November 14, 1955 at St. Benedict's Hospital in Jerome, Idaho, the 3rd son of Henry and Patricia Ineas Gabica. He spent his first years in Shoshone, moving to Twin Falls when he was 4 years old. He attended St. Edward's Catholic School, O'Leary Junior High and Twin Falls High School, graduating in 1974. He attended Boise State University. On July 18, 1975, Mike married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Theresa Kramer. Together they had 3 children, Audra, Alicia and Greg. Mike loved to golf, work in his yard, and spend time with his granddaughter Rally who was his greatest joy the last few years of his life. For 35 years, he was employed by CSC Farms, Inc. in Jerome, Idaho, where he learned everything there was to know about growing potatoes. Always a baseball fan, his childhood dream was realized in 2011, when he traveled to New York City to see the Yankees play. His dream for retirement was to golf in every state, and to visit Australia and New Zealand. Mike is survived by his wife Theresa, children Audra L. Gabica (Sandpoint, ID), Alicia A. Gabica-Grand (Noah) (Sandpoint, ID), Gregory M. Gabica (Portland, OR) and granddaughter Rally Anne Gabica Grand. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Gabica; brothers John Gabica (Kay), David Gabica (Georgie); sisters Cindy A. Baughman (Mike), Patricia Jo Gabica-Haas (Dirk), and Denise M. Heller (Tom), and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who love him dearly. A ceremony to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 16 at the Twin Falls First Church of the Nazarene, 1231 Washington St. N. in Twin Falls, with a reception immediately following at the Turf Club, 734 Falls Ave. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Magic Valley Junior Golf Foundation, PO Box 5455, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.
