Obituary of Lee Kathleen Norris

Lee Kathleen (Kathy) Norris completed her earthly journey on April 20th, 2018 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and her Pastor, John Collins, Jr. She was born Lee Kathleen Jackson on November 13, 1928 in Loris, SC. She was the youngest of seven children and the last surviving sibling. In January 1947 she met and subsequently married James P. Richardson and was blessed with five children from that union. After 21 years of marriage and many difficult times as farmers and share croppers in South Carolina they moved to Homestead, FL where she was later widowed. After losing her husband she then worked in several different facilities caring for elderly patients in Homestead, FL and met and married Alward J. Daley. That union endured for 35 years and they subsequently moved to California where she once again was widowed. In 2005, Kathy moved from California to Twin Falls, ID to be closer to her family. She met Carl F. Norris in Twin Falls in 2008 and they were married August 1, 2009 and shared a life together until her recent passing. Kathy is survived by two daughters, Peggy Shotswell, Regina Herre (Tom), and three sons, James Richardson (Tina), Terry Richardson (Jan), and her youngest Jack Richardson and also a very special son-in-law Marion O. Shotswell. Upon her marriage to Carl Norris she also gained four additional children by marriage; Elvera Moore (Mike), Ruth Blanton (James), Tim Norris (Karen), and Sylvia Norris. Kathy was a loving and involved grandmother to her grandchildren including Kenneth Gerberding, Michael Gerberding, William Stump (Molly), Eric Stump (Melissa), Paige Herre, Maya Herre, Kristina Boggs (Steve), Bobbie Jean Anderson (Marc), Kathy Ann Richardson, Timothy Richardson, Melanie Van Kamp (Shaun), James Richardson, Paul Anderson (Megan), Jaclyn Richardson (Dale). She was also blessed with grandchildren by marriage Sherry Moore, Christina Moore, Lance Moore (Stephanie), Becky McGee (Rick), Angie Pearson (David), Beth Gigold (Joe), Daniel Norris (Victoria), and Steven Norris (Aimee). She has twenty-one great grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren by marriage, and three great great grandchildren and one great great grandchild by marriage. Kathy was preceded in death by her two husbands, James P Richardson and Alward J. Daley, her two brothers Milton and George, and her four sisters Thelma, Ruby, Ruth and Louise. Her family wishes to thank the ICU staff at St. Luke's for the wonderful care and comfort provided to Kathy during her final hours including especially Dr. Duff and nurses Jordan and Darlene. A memorial service for Kathy will be held in Twin Falls at Bethel Temple Apostolic Church, 929 Hankins Road, on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 AM with Pastor John Collins, Jr. officiating.»(Do not delete this line.
