Kirk Elwood Lewis was born on July 1, 1940 in Yakima, Washington to Earl Elwood Lewis and Zelma Mae Werner. He graduated from Shelley High School in 1958 and went on to get his Bachelor's degree in Education and Master's degree in Education Administration from the University of Idaho. Kirk and Karolyn were married on December 21st 1960 and had two children, Gavin Merrill Lewis and Morgan Lewis. Kirk began his career teaching in New Plymouth, Idaho and stayed in Education until his retirement. Kirk was preceded in death by his dad Earl, mom Zelma, sister Barbara Ronk, brother Gerald Hansen and granddaughter Taylor K. Lewis. Kirk is survived by his wife Karolyn, sister Jeanette Heinen and Carlos Rameriz, brother in law Ken Ronk, sister in law Kerri Hansen, son Gavin, daughter in law Kathy Heitmann, daughter Morgan and 5 grandchildren. Kirk made a big difference in all the lives he touched and will be missed by all those who love him. A gathering will be held Monday April 30th at 3:00pm at Rosenau Funeral Home and Crematory.
