Arline Paulin, 78, of Bliss, Idaho passed away quietly with family on Sunday morning, November 17th, 2013 after a short illness. Arline was born November 6, 1935 to Lee and Sally Brown, in Monument, Colorado, where she spent her childhood. Graduating from high school in 1953, she then moved to Boise, Idaho to live with her aunt and uncle Blake and Leona West and attended secretarial school. She met; fell in love, then married Charles Paulin in 1955. Charles and Arline farmed, milked cows, and owned and operated milk hauler routes in Star, where their four children were born; Steve, Scott, Susan and Kevin. In 1970 the couple moved their family to Gooding to dairy farm full time. Moving again in 1974 to a dairy farm in Jerome, Arline worked part time at the Jerome Library and was involved in several ladies clubs. Charles and Arline began square dancing and had a lively time dancing around the Magic Valley. Next moving to Gooding, and finally to Bliss, farming, traveling and enjoying life. During this time, she was a feature reporter for the Northside News and Gooding County Leader. Charles suddenly passed in 2006 after being together for 51 years. Arline continued enjoying the company of her many friends and family. Most recently she loved spending time with her card clubs, ladies luncheons, shopping, and sightseeing. Survived by: brother Ronald Brown, Lusk, WY. Children: son Steve Paulin, Gooding, ID, son Scott Paulin, Bliss, ID, daughter Susan (Reagon) Hatch, Buhl, ID, Kevin (Cindy) Paulin, Jerome, ID Grandchildren: Melissa Paulin, Wendell, ID, Jim Paulin, Gooding, ID, Mark (Michaela) Hatch, Polson, MT, Brent hatch, Twin Falls, ID, Craig (Libby) Paulin, Canby, OR, Brad (Sarah) Paulin, Aloha, OR, Erin (Alex) Fultz, Twin Falls, ID Great Grandchildren: Victoria, Patience Skye, Afton, Alice; Brother and Sister-in-laws: Alice Walden, Dorothy (Bob) Murphy, Les Paulin, Francis Bishop, Carol (John) Combs, John (Andrea) Paulin, Jim (Gloria) Paulin, Joy Schuck. The family suggests that memorials be given in Arline’s name to the Hospice organization of your choice. Viewing for Arline will be held from Noon -12:45pm, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Rosenau Funeral Home with funeral services following at 1:00 pm.
