Obituary of Dorothy Lois Murphy

Dorothy (Dottie) Konicek Murphy was born December 8, 1928 to Arthur and Hazel Clifton. She was the second of four children and was raised in the Filer – Buhl area. She married Elvin Konicek in 1946 and they had two daughters, Trish and Terri. They were later divorced. Mom married Wesley Murphy in 1962 and they had a daughter, Chris. Dottie loved her friends, family and a good conversation around the coffee table. Mom enjoyed traveling and going to the hills. She also loved farm life and riding in the farm trucks with Trish. She was a hard worker and always had time for a visit with everyone. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wes, her older brother, Ralph, her son-in-law, Ralph, and a grandson, Mark. She is survived by her children Trish (Allan) Stevenson, Terri Garrison( Don) and Chris Sauer (Jose); her brother Bill, sister Mary; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in Hazleton, Idaho on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11 AM. The family suggests donations be made to the Silver and Gold Senior Center in Eden, ID. Special thank you to the Creek Side Retirement Home in Jerome for the wonderful care they have given mom the past several months.
