Obituary of Eric Randall Hall
Eric was born August 7, 1985 in Nampa, Idaho to Randy and Vickie Hall. He passed away at home on February 24, 2019.
Eric grew up in Kimberly, Idaho and attended grade school there. When he wasn't in school he spent most of his time at the home of his best friend, Lex Howard. They had many happy times together. During the summer he loved to go to his grandparents in Shoshone. They would go camping, four wheeling, and fishing. He didn't care to eat fish, but he sure loved catching them!
His high school years were spent in Twin Falls and Boise, where he graduated from Mountain Cove high school, while living with his dad. After his dad retired, they moved back to Twin Falls, where he resided until his passing.
He had many jobs during his life, from washing dishes at LaCasita when he was a teen, so he could save enough money to buy a car, to his last job, driving truck for Transystems. His step dad Gary Rathbun taught him to drive truck, and that was the trade he enjoyed most.
At an early age Gary taught him to ride a tote goat, and that sparked his joy of motorcycle riding. Gary took him to Sturgis, SD when he was 16, what a life experience that was! He eventually was able to get his own Harley, and we took him to the Oregon Coast. He loved it there. He also was the first junior member of the Snake River Bros.
He also loved to collect guns, and really enjoyed going out to shoot. We took a gun class together to get our permits, and he was an excellent shot! He got great pleasure out of teaching me to shoot one of his big guns, even though it scared the you know what out of me! He also loved to cook, and made a mean chicken fried steak.
Eric is survived by his mom, Vickie Rathbun, step dad, Gary Rathbun. His grandmother, Sharon Pennington. Uncles, Kelly and Terry Pennington. Uncle Rick Hall and aunt Lucy, and aunt Linda in California. His cousins, Kamas, Kole, Jenny and Erin.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Julius (Julio) Pennington, his sister Allison, his grandmother, Dorothy Hall and grandfather Gordon Hall, and his cousin Danny. Sadly, after Eric passed on the 24th of Feb, his dad passed four days later on Feb28. Now they are both free and at peace.
Eric would not have wanted a funeral service, he wasn't a fan of crowds, so we will plan a celebration of life at a later date.
I will miss you so much son, but I will keep you and your sister alive in my heart until we see each other again.
