Obituary of Grace Kay VanLeeuwen

Grace Kay Van Wagoner VanLeeuwen, 82, went home to her loving husband and Father in Heaven on March 24, 2019.  Mom was born on December 15, 1936 to Boyd and Viola Van Wagoner.  She was the youngest daughter of 6 kids.  She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduated High School and went to work for a bank before later receiving a scholarship to beauty school.  She met dad while in beauty school and after several attempts of marriage proposals, he finally stole her heart.  They were married in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity July 18, 1958.  Together they unconditionally loved and raised 6 kids, several neighbor kids, 100’s of daycare kids, and all their grands.  There was a special place in her heart for the outdoors, her mountains, and cooking over a campfire, especially girls camp.  She was an amazing wife, mother, grammy, sister, aunt and friend.  She had a heart of gold and was a friend to all.  Mom was our foundation, the heart of our family.  She is survived by her kids Tom, Brenda, Kirk (Tina), Kali (Pat) and Stacey, 16 grandchildren and 18 ½ great grandchildren.  She was preceeded in death by her husband Dave, her oldest son Dave, daughter in law Becky, son in law Ernesto, 2 grandsons David and Cory and a great grandson, also all of her siblings and several beloved family members.  She will forever live through all the love she shared.  “If you get there before I do, don’t give up on me, I’ll meet you when my chores are through, I don’t know how long I’ll be, but I’m not gonna let you down, momma wait and see, and between now and then, til I see you again, I’ll be loving you, Love me.”  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday March 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Twin Falls with funeral services to follow at noon.  Interment will follow the services at the Magic Valley Veterans Cemetery in Hansen, Idaho.
