Obituary of Linda Dee Johnson

Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Linda D Johnson, age 70, passed away at St Lukes in Twin Falls on April 4, 2019. Linda was born to Ralph and Dee Conner in Twin Falls, Idaho. She grew up in Nevada, California, and Idaho. Linda worked as a candy striper in high school and then waitressed at Koto’s, which became her second family where she made many life-long friends. She became a massage therapist with clients spanning the Magic and Wood River Valleys. Similar to her experience at Koto’s many clients became family and friends.  Linda was briefly married to Bill Graff in 1966. In July 1969, she married Bill Johnson. They had 3 daughters whom she loved deeply; Kim and the twins, Kristi and Kathi. She always said “When God started sending me kids in pairs, it’s time to stop.” The family spent the first few years at the farm in Eden, later moving to Hansen where the home was always open to many of the girls’ friends that became like family. Bill and Linda divorced but remained close friends and attended all family events together. Linda met Doug Elam 20 years ago and loved him unconditionally to this day.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Conner and Dee Sparkman Conner, her great aunt Lillie Sparkman and Cousin Dan Higgins. Linda is survived by Doug Elam; her sister Viki Montgomery; her daughters Kim (Phil) Rice, Kristi (Steve) Klauser, Kathi (Mike) Huttanus; niece, Tara (Michael) Lemonds; four grandsons Brian (Malia) Martin, Keifer (Ashley) Klauser, Hayden Klauser, and Cruz Martin; a grand neice Caiti (Blake) Ward; and a great grandson Klayton Klauser whom she doted on and loved with all her heart. Linda had so many special friends that it is impossible to list them all.  There was not a person she met that she didn’t leave a lasting impression on. Her smile was infectious and she brought warmth and caring to all.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday from 3-5 pm at Rosenau Funeral  where she will be remembered for the love and happiness she gave to us all.
