Obituary of Anthony John Wolbers

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anthony John Wolbers, Tony as he was known, was born to Gertrude and Herman Wolbers on July 15th, 1963 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  He had two brothers, Rudolf and David, and one sister, Maree.  Anthony met his wife Kellie during the summer of 1994 and they were married in Pimpama, Queensland in 1999.

Anthony was an accomplished brick layer and builder and owned his own business while they lived in Australia.  On December 21st, 2004 they welcomed twins, Abigail and Henry.  Their 3rd child, Holly was born in October, 30th 2008.  Though Tony loved Kellie (and football!), with all his heart, his true love were his children.

In 2007, their adventures in America began when they moved to Oregon to be close to Kellie’s family.  Soon after, Tony joined the team at Comcast and began a career in the telecommunications business, winning multiple awards for customer service.  The family lived on a hobby farm where Tony enjoyed renovating their farmhouse, puttering in his barns and sheds and immersing himself in the kid’s sports.

Their adventures continued to Idaho where Tony worked for Cable One in Boise.

Anyone who knew Tony knew he was always on the move, doing something for those he loved and for those who needed help.  He is survived in the US by his wife Kellie, his children Henry, Abigail and Holly.  In Australia, his siblings Rudolf Wolbers, Maree Rowe (Bernie) and David Wolbers; nieces and nephews: Philip, Stacy (Simon), Jessica (Mark) and Adam (Nicole) and their children.

He will always be remembered as a kind and caring man and will be missed by so many.
