I was so saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing on. She was such a darling person! I have the BEST memories of hanging out with Dot. She was so lovely and important to our family and she meant the world to our dad, Gene Shirley. I learned of Dot's death last night from my sister Kate and have been reflecting on her beautiful spirit since then. She was a beautiful human being and a true original - courageous, joyful, full of life, lighthearted, funny, honest and kind.
I thought perhaps I could come to the celebration at Randy's house so I looked to see if there was some miracle where there was an airline flight between San Francisco and Twin Falls that didn't cost $1,500. Alas that miracle wasn't happening!
