Obituary of Russell Billings

Russell Fredrick Billings was born on October 31, 1943 in Alberg, Vermont. He was adopted as a young child by Ida and Fredrick Billings.  He later learned of his biological siblings.  His adoptive mother died when he was 10. He joined the army at 17.  Upon discharge he settled in Colorado where he married Julia Ortega to which 2 daughters were born. Julia passed away in January of 1992. Russ then moved to California where he married Patricia Collings Billings on August 19, 1989. They were able to raise his daughters together. They moved to Twin Falls Idaho in 1994 where they have y have lived since.  Russ spend most of his career as an appliance repairman that later developed into computer repair. He was artistic, musical, and had a love of adventure.  He loved animals and his pets gave him great joy.  He and Pattie loved to travel which included Fiji, New Zealand, Mexico, Cost Rico, Scandinavia and Canada.  They also went on mission trips to Belize with their church.  He and his family attended the Nazarene church in Twin Falls. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, biological brothers, Clarence, Kenny, Duane, and Reggie Martin.  He is survived by his wife Pattie, daughters Adrianna and Autumn, step children Garrett Collins and Sharna Williams and a sister Lorna Hazen.  The family would like to thank Dr. Huerd and the staff of St Luke’s Boise cardiac surgical ICU for their care.
