Dear Valinda’s family; Words cannot simply express the loss and sympathy I hold inside my heart at this time, nor could they even come close to what you are feeling and experiencing at this time. Today I want to share with you just a few points on how your mother, wife, grandmother and daughter touched my life. Years ago I was so blessed by God to have been working side by side with her at the Caldwell First Christian Church. So many wonderful memories. Valinda had such a generous heart and spirit and a voice! She had an amazing voice and when she started to sing it was so calming and peaceful and uplifting at the same time. Then the smile! Oh what a smile! And giggle and laugh too! She was a treasure to all who were around her. I remember the day of her marriage to Jim. It was such a beautiful wedding. Watching them both during the ceremony and at the reception…they were like little giddy kids. So joyful! Valinda loved her children! I am sure you know this but I really think she loved her grandchildren the most! She always beamed when talking about her kids and grandkids. Valinda had a heart of purity for helping people. She absolutely loved people and wasn’t afraid to reach out to the down and out. She was also a wonderful prayer warrior. The prayers that she prayed were full of love and conviction. She loved working at the church and she loved having her mom and her kids come in and be a part of that world. She was so proud of her family. All of us who knew her really should step back and reflect on how this beautiful soul touched so many and try to duplicate it….if we can. I am sad that she will not be here in the physical but I know that she was greeted with many loved ones in Heaven. Valinda blessed me with her friendship and I am forever grateful that I could call her my friend. I am sorry for your loss of her beautiful earthly soul so early in life. May all the wonderful memories of love and laughter comfort you and bring you joy knowing that Heaven has gained a beautiful saint. ~Melody Rogers Warner Robins, GA
