It was always a special event when the Skinners made a trip to visit the Nebraska relatives. If it was around July 4 we could count on a supply of Black Cat firecrackers. I never got to go skiing with them in Idaho but on one visit we went into a valley orchard and picking fruit. For many years I receive a phone call near our birthdays in December.
