CASTLEFORD Henry (Hank) Joseph Gandiaga, 83 died peacefully Monday at his home with his family at his side. Hank was born to Frank and Rosa (Bilboa) Gandiaga on Feb. 11, 1930, in Castleford, Idaho. He graduated 8th grade from St. Edwards Catholic School in Twin Falls. Hank graduated from Twin Falls High in 1948, then enrolled at the University of Idaho where he lived in the SAE house. He joined the Marines in 1951. In October of 1952 while on leave, Hank asked the love of his life Beverly Jane Reeves for her hand in marriage. On Feb. 19, 1956 they were married in Boise. They made their home in Castleford and Hank started farming. In 1977 Hank was injured in a farming accident and began a new career in machinery sales. He then became a field man in the potato business until his retirement. Hank was very active in the Catholic Church and the Cursillo movement. He was also a Eucharistic minister. He became a pilot and had his own plane that he loved to fly. Hank was on the board at Clear Lake Country Club that was responsible for the purchase of the land and development of the new 9 holes. To celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, the family celebrated in Turks and Caicos. Hank is survived by his wife Beverly, children Greg(Carol) , Philip, and Laurie(Doug) Howard. Grandsons Kyle, Kris, Nicklas and Mitchell. Great grandsons Bryce, Henry, and Kade, as well as a plethora of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosa, daughter Gina, sister Maggie, infant brother Frank, brother in law Doug Neville and nephew Dan Neville. Rosary will be held at Rosenau Funeral Home in Twin Falls on Thursday June 20th at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church in Buhl at 11am on Friday June 21st. Graveside service will follow the Mass at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls with a luncheon afterward. Memorial donations may be made in Hank’s name to the charity of your choice.
