Phillip Leslie McInturf, age 81, died at St. Luke's Magic Valley on March 13, 2020. Phil was born on July 26, 1938 in Twin Falls, Idaho as the firstborn son to Leslie and Phyllis McInturf. He was joined later by two sisters, Sherry and Christy. He attended various country schools in the community as a child. He often rode his horse to school. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1956 and spent a year attending college in Moscow, ID. He custom farmed, sold farm equipment, and worked for US Steel. He retired as an agronomy manager from Cenex Land O’ Lakes in 2000. After retirement, he opened and operated Rock Creek Frameworks for several years. In 1969, after an in-depth study of the Bible, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Helping others learn about our Creator, Jehovah, brought him great joy. He enjoyed photography, even winning awards for his pictures. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Christy, and one daughter, Casey. He is survived by his loving wife Rayetta, his sister Sherry (Terry) and six children: David (Elaine), Melody (Dean), Shauna (Ken), Susan (Cruz), Shelley (Ken), and Tanya (Jamie). He had 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. At Phil’s request there will be no formal services. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
