Wendell Wilfred Kinch was born on Jan. 11, 1954 in Grass Valley, CA at Jones Memorial Hospital. He was the youngest of the five children of Charley and Thelma Kinch. He passed away on Aug. 28, 2021 at the age of 67. He loved the area he grew up in and lived there for over 27 years. At the age of 19 he began his training as a machinist at Litton Engineering. He worked there for over 8 years. He then moved to Tucson, AZ to marry Audrey Bridges on Nov. 20th 1981. There, he got a job as a machinist at Hughes Aircraft, now known as Raytheon. It was there where he became a journeyman machinist. He was considered a highly valued employee and an expert machinist. He worked for close to 14 years there. During that time, he and Audrey were blessed with two children, Bradley and Betsy. In 1995, they moved to Idaho and found their country home outside of Hansen. He worked at several places over the years, but was at Superior Chain the longest, about 10 years. His skills as a machinist, a mechanic, and an all-around handyman were appreciated and very beneficial to his family and many others over the years. He was such a hard worker and was proud of being able to take care of his family, his home, and his property. His hobbies included building jigsaw puzzles, making things out of wood on his old lathe, and writing about his memories as a child growing up in the Nevada County area of CA. He had started a book with a collection of his stories. Even though he hadn’t finished it, his family is determined to do it for him. Wendell came to know the Lord as his personal savior and was baptized as a child. He was currently a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and had been for the last 19 years. He is survived by his wife Audrey, his son Bradley (Aly) Kinch, and daughter Betsy (Luke) Hahn. His granddaughters: Avery, Clara, and Ivy Kinch and Sylvia Hahn. His grandsons: Bailey, Asa, and Henry Kinch, and Dietrich Hahn. His four siblings: brothers Dan (Brenda), Dennis (Nancy), and Dale (Linda) Kinch, and his sister Carolynn Mendoth. His nephews: Michael Kinch and Peter Kinch, and niece Heidi Kinch. He is preceded in death by his parents Charley and Thelma Kinch, and nephew Kevin Kinch. A graveside service was held on Sept. 14, 2021 at Rock Creek Cemetery in Hansen, ID. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 9th at 10:30 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church in Twin Falls, ID.
