Doris Nadine Ryall, 85 of Twin Falls passed away on Friday October 31, 2014 at her home. She was the 5th child born to Clarence and LaVera (Allen) Aston, on Dec 23, 1928 in Gooding Id. Doris had 3 brothers, Jay, Willard, and James, and 1 sister, Donna Ruth that were born before her, and 2 sisters, Euvada and Joyce, born after her. Doris grew up and lived in several places in her childhood including Gooding, Pocatello, Payette, and Nampa ID and Nyssa and Ontario OR. She graduated from Payette High School. After graduating she moved to Boise to work and attended to Boise Jr. College for 3 years. She then went on to teach in the Boise Public School District. During this time Doris went with her sisters to USO dances at Mountain Home Air Force base and met and married the love of her life Richard “Dick” Ryall on April 19, 1952. After leaving the Air Force, they moved to Twin Falls and have lived here since. Doris was a stay at home mom until her children started school then she went to work at Bo Peep Day Care, and remained there 13 years. In the late 1970's with the support of her husband, Doris went back to school, at Boise State to get her BA. She then taught in Jerome for 3 years, and following that she taught for 13 years in Twin Falls at Lincoln Grade School. She finished up her teaching career teaching ESL at The College of Southern Idaho to Bosnian and Russian Emigrants. Doris loved her family fiercely and loved family times, whether watching Lawrence Welk when her kids were younger, or playing a good game of Dominoes around the family table. Doris loved crafting with the United Methodist ladies thru the years and always participated in the annual bazaars. She loved scrapbooking and lovingly made a scrapbook for each of her children and one for her husband Dick and one of her own life. Doris loved to read and one of her favorite books was "Little Women", she loved the gentle lifestyle of that era. She also loved movies...especially movies about family and love stories (Hallmark Movies). Doris loved continuously learning and said she spent a lifetime always learning new things. In her own scrap book she said one of the most important things to her was learning. Doris is survived by her children Denis (Drusilla) Ryall of Meridian, ID, Kathleen (Steve) Templeton of Seattle, WA, Helen Ryall (Paula Simerly) of Twin Falls, son in-law Mike Fisher of Twin Falls. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two sisters Joyce (Ray) Heidt of Marsing, ID and Eva Aston of Jerome, ID. Doris is preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Ryall; daughter Venessa Fisher; grandson Gabriel Wilson; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Rosenau Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
